Vibration monitoring

Vibrations of environmental or industrial origin – whether generated by construction work, traffic, industrial processes or impulse phenomena – can have a lasting impact on buildings, infrastructures, sensitive equipment and technical networks. These dynamic stresses can lead to structural damage, equipment disruption or regulatory non-compliance.

Continuous vibration monitoring provides a structured response to these challenges: it makes it possible to objectify measured levels in real time, anticipate when critical thresholds are exceeded, and use a reliable control tool to secure installations and prevent any risk of damage.

Technical and operational issues

Vibratory problems arise in a wide variety of contexts, including construction sites close to sensitive buildings, industrial facilities, transport infrastructures and environments subject to specific constraints. In each of these cases, the stakes are concrete and can have significant consequences on the durability of structures and the continuity of activities.

Continuous vibration monitoring responds to these challenges by preventing structural damage, protecting sensitive equipment, monitoring dynamic stresses linked to one-off or permanent activities, and providing full traceability of vibration events in the event of disputes or claims.

The implementation of such a system makes it possible to demonstrate that exposure levels are under control, to act reactively in the event of thresholds being exceeded, and to ensure that monitoring complies with applicable standards, whether DIN 4150, AFPS recommendations or any other contractual or regulatory reference.

Measurement and acquisition of vibration parameters

The monitoring system enables continuous vibration measurement using different instrumentation configurations

  • single-axis or tri-axis measurements
  • speed or acceleration measurements
  • recording of impulse phenomena

Vibratory shocks can be measured in compliance with ETSI requirements, enabling the objectification of impulsive stresses likely to affect structures or equipment.
Indicators are visualized in a synthetic way via an interface integrating color codes facilitating rapid identification of normal or critical situations.

Event detection and recording

The monitoring system incorporates advanced triggering and recording functionalities, enabling precise qualification of the nature and origin of observed vibratory phenomena. Triggers can be configured according to customizable multi-segment criteria, or activated remotely by SMS, offering great flexibility of use according to site constraints.

Each detected event is recorded, and the vibration and sound occurrences are automatically recognized and counted. This cross-referenced approach enables us to correlate vibration data with potential sources, to distinguish internal stresses from external disturbances, and to provide reliable factual elements in the event of dispute or litigation.

Real-time alert system

A configurable alert system informs operators in real time when thresholds or specific events are exceeded. Notifications can be sent by SMS, e-mail or configurable pre-alerts.

Trigger criteria can be customized according to a number of combined parameters (level, duration, time of day, type of event), providing control adapted to site constraints.
